Really? I really like the song and it's very fitting for the trailer. Even lyric-wise.

People just complain too much.

Actually I think the song is pretty damn good, in fact I watched the trailer once again just to listen to it. The intro is REALLY funky!!! 8)

I wonder if we, "foreigners", are missing something, because it seems people who don't like it are Americans... Never mind...

I think it's because when somebody says 'rock concert', American minds go straight toward heavy metal and harder bands such as Metallica and Pantera, who tend to sell out arenas over there, whereas in truth the music in CP is far more suited to the European sesibilities of rock, which is far different stylistically. A band like, say The Rasmus (from Helsinki, I believe) do not translate well to US ears. Actually it would make sense for Dolph's American band to cross over and be more successful in Europe, if they play that style.

That is strange. I'm American and I LOVE the song. It's a cool ass song.

You make a lot of sense here. I'm a fan of all kinds of music. I love the "European sensibilities of rock" which is a PERFECT description of it.

I read some of the comments of the song, I think they just need to shut up and stop complaining about EVERY little thing. What matters is that the trailer is cool, the band is cool, DL is fuckin' cool, and this movie is going to be awesome! I doubt the people who commented aren't going to see the movie now because of the song. Freakin' babies!

Actually I think the song is pretty damn good, in fact I watched the trailer once again just to listen to it.

I'm guilty of this as well! No lie!

Yeah it's a good song. I think European rock is easier on the ears and I for one don't like rock music to be too heavy. It appears some people have no taste...

Thing is this song sounds very much like American pop rock to me and I don't know what European rock sound is (as it doesn't mean anything since UK, German and French pop music don't have much in common)... Anyway...

Yeah whatever genre or country it sounds like it's from it sounds great. I have high expectations for the concert scenes overall. Especially the shot from behind Dolph on the drums, the crowd is huge. Certainly looking more than six million already.

Magic of cinema!
They were "only" 600 or 800 extras when it was filmed, but I think the visual effects company is supposed to multiply them.

Nu Image, Pony Canyon strike multi-title distribution deal in Japan
Jeremy Kay in Park City
21 Jan 2009 18:38

Los Angeles-based Nu Image has struck a multi-title distribution with Japan's Pony Canyon kicking off with Sylvester Stallone's upcoming action film The Expendables starring Stallone, Jason Statham and Jet Li with Forest Whitaker and Mickey Rourke in talks to join the cast.

The story centres on a mercenary suicide mission to overthrow a Latin American dictator. Stallone will direct from his own screenplay and production is scheduled to kick off in February on location in Brazil and Louisiana. The deal includes Command Performance and Way Of War.

"We have come close several times but are thrilled to finally be working with Pony Canyon," Nu Image's president of international sales and distribution Christian Mercuri said. "They are obviously major players in the Japanese market so very important to the overall distribution of our films. I hope is the first of many deals with them."

Pony Canyon's executive managing director Hirofumi Ogoshi added: "We are very excited in closing our first deal with Nu Image. They understand the international market well and produce films that are both unique and commercially successful. We believe with the incredible line-up of int'l action stars The Expendables will be very successful in Japan and around the globe, and we look forward to continuing our business partnership with Nu Image."

Nice one Nathan! I LOL'ed!

When terrorists crash the gig, you'd better hope Dolph is your drummer!

Defeating terrorists is only part of the battle, the rest is stopping them in time for your encore performance!
