I don't think so in this case (Kinowelt is not cheap and did not use the original advance artworks for DIRECT ACTION and THE MECHANIK) but it probably will be in some countries where distributors will just use what's provided by Nu Image.

I used a translator and as far as I can gather you are right Jox. The banner across it says something about before selling or release.

EDIT: Sorry it means Temporary Cover. Helps to put the right punctuation into the translator...

Yeah I think so too. It's usually 2-3 months before you get a cover, if they are up to date. I hope we get a cover in the vein of Missionary Man. That is a cover that will sell. Dolph needs a big gun, (trust me Jox, it works  ) and there requires to be an explosion and a flipping car in the background and at least 12 helicopters, possibly with one or two of them exploding also. :D At least if Sony do put helicopters on the US edition they will actually fit the movie this time.

Hope the release date stays that way. Because then it comes out just right before my birthday. YAY!

Do the German dvds usually come out before the US. It just seems that they get the covers and everything a long time before the release of the actual DVD. I hope to see it out in the US and the UK around February/March but I'll import mine from the US because I hate those CHEAP ASS fight factory banners around the dvds. I will NOT get into a rant about them but it annoys me so much. So when the time comes if anyone could recommend a good website that sells region 1 dvds where it is available cheap then I would be grateful.

It's not a rule but it happened a lot in Dolph's movies case that they get released in Germany before the US. Sony make their announcement around 2 months before release, there's still time.

So let us hope and cross the fingers, that they'll announce really soon a release date!

Thank you Jox!! Brilliant find!! I've been praying for news from DC for weeks. Do you know the content of the magazine? If THAT was the DVD cover I would be overjoyed..it's soo kick ass it's unbelieveable..the colours and font are so classy and retro. Pull a few strings for us with Sony eh Jox..
