Wow, never saw that coming...why on Earth could they be holding this one back so much, I expected to have news on the US release date by now. June 2009 seems more realistic for that as well now.

If it's true/accurate then that's not too far away.

Will we ever see Dolph make a movie in China or Thailand the reason i'm asking is because i don't think Dolph ever made one there. I read JC did Eagle Path with 5 million in Thailand, i'm pretty sure Dolph could make a good movie in China or thailand with his 5 million dollar budgets for his movies.

I mean the punisher and showdown in little tokyo is one of my favourite movies, but it was not shot in asia, it was shot in the U.S. , since then we haven't seen Dolph go up agaisnt some asian ninjas or the yakuza.
Wouldn't be awesome if we saw Dolph kick some little chinese men around :D

Come on, what would be a Jean-Claude Van Damme film without Asians?

What would be a Dolph film without some kind of Russian/Bulgarian something?

What would be hilarious to see is Jean-Claude Van Damme try to pull off a playing a Russian person.

Dolph would tower over the opposition! I think the only way for him to have a "challenging" bad guy is to get Yao Ming in there!
RIP Charles "Mask" Lewis! TapouT will never be the same.

Dolph made the great MEN OF WAR in Thailand (few years earlier but same location as THE BEACH with DiCaprio) and the not so great DIAMOND DOGS in China/Mongolia.
Thailand would be a cool place to go back to, India could be nice as well, but moreover I'd like to see Dolph make a movie in Japan (not as cheap hehe).

JCVD started off his career playing a Russian based on Dolph's Ivan Drago in NO RETREAT NO SURRENDER (a.k.a. KARATE TIGER) which was quite hilarious I remember correctly (have not seen it in 18 years or so).

It's a favourite amongst JC fans but I thought it was cringeworthy. Dolph is lucky not to be like Snipes and Seagal, he has filmed in the US a couple of times, Mongolia and now Canada.

Seems (ie IMDB) like the US rights went back from Sony to First Look (company owned by Nu Image now).
