I thought diamond dogs was shot just in Mongolia, i haven't seen this movie yet, but what locations did they use in china to shoot diamond dogs, was it mountains, a village, a city, terrain ???

Yes Dolph would tower over all those chinese, but it would make the movie more interesting, Dolph could go up agasint bolo yeung :D

Japan would be a very expensive location, don't you think?? Not even JC with bigger budgets ever made a movie in Japan.

Men of war is a great movie, i love the locations :D the beach, forest, village

See what i mean, Dolph should try China or Thailand or South Korea in the near future

Do you think the same could happen to COMMAND PERFORMANCE?

If that's the case for DIRECT CONTACT I wonder if Nu Image would want to hold onto it and release it around the time THE EXPENDABLES hits theaters, since Dolph's profile will be at its highest at that point. Hope it doesn't take that long, but from a business angle I could see Nu Image/First Look doing that.

Maybe. What I know is that they could have a shot at giving CP a limited theatrical run through First Look. Waiting for THE EXPENDABLES seems too long but who knows, we'll see...

That means that Direct Contact would come out sometime around mid-2010 if they were gonna do that. I think that's a little too long, mid-2009 seems better to me although ever since Jox said that they may be holding onto it for some reason I've kinda expected a slow release. Maybe it was something to do with Sony and First Look exchanging the distribution rights.

Great!!! Finally a release date, even if it's still a long time away. I thought that there might be something announced on First Look soon because I had a look round their website and it seems they keep it updated regularly. Hopefully a trailer from them will surface soon...at least a better one than Retrograde. Don't wish to be negative but why didn't they use a picture from Direct Contact for the cover??? Even though it's a nice simple cover there were so many great pics from DC...just look at that awesome magazine cover...

dammit, why can't they use a DC picture rather than one from The Mechanik? Screwed us over with covers again! That one from the Thailand magazine was SO perfect! USE THAT, YOU IDIOTS!

Terrific news! Great to have a date to focus on now.

With 3 months before release it's still possible that a different cover will be used for the DVD. Not saying that will happen, but it's possible.

He's damn busy right now but maybe Dolph can have a few words and have them do a proper job (they actually made an effort for RETROGRADE so why not this one).

The other bad news for US fans is that unless they drastically change, First Look's DVDs are pretty much bare bones so I'd suggest again to get a multi-region player and go for like the Kinowelt German edition which should have at least a making of and trailer (or even go for the Blu-Ray since I believe it's region-free)...

I hope Dolph can convince them to get a decent cover and some special features on it...it's no wonder he's so busy with all the projects floating around at the moment...

I could see Lundgren convincing them to get a better cover for something he directed, like COMMAND PERFORMANCE, but I don't know if he'll have much interest (or time) to do the same for DIRECT CONTACT.

I agree that the shot from that Thai video magazine would be ideal.

I'll show him so that at least he knows and can take action if he wants to.

He probably wouldn't supervise a new design himself (as he is right now with some CP one sheets), but he might see fit to just give them a call and ask them to do an original DC cover.

BTW it's on already on pre-order on Amazon, DVD Empire etc...

Thanks Jox, you are a great asset to Dolph. The price is a little high for me on amazon.com because it would be roughly £18.00...does anyone know where I can pre-order it cheaper? Only thing is, a lot of websites probably haven't got it on for pre-order yet..maybe in a month or so. CP one sheet!! Awesome!!
