We have an auto parts dealer nearby who is infamous for his juicy catalogues and calendars. Here's this year's catalogue, compare it to the poster above: http://www.duw.de/shop/DetailView.aspx?CatalogProductId=332772

I would show you the link to this year's calendar but this is an international board and I know that many countries have problems with nipples.

However... my point is: This looks like a cheap softporn ad. If I wouldn't know what this movie is about and wouldn't be a Dolph fan, I'd avoid this movie. But then again... I might not be the target audience in the publicist's mind anyway.

I don´t know... It has the gun and it has the guitar. Plus of course the D-man and the female lead. It´s all it needs, really. In addition, it has a unique look. It´s not that bad. More rock than action, maybe...

COMMAND PERFORMANCE has been "Rated R for strong bloody violence throughout, and language."

As long as this flick is better than DC, I'm all for it, brother! Hell yeah!

I don't understand how right off the bat this is getting a SOLID R-rating and yet The Expendables, which I currently expect to be better, is in the "hmm, should we make it for teenies to watch or for men who are actual fans and dont mock Sly?" phase. wtf is going on?

There's no correlation between the two, no logic or thinking between the two. With a movie like CP they don't even try to make more money than what they calculated they could make in pre-sales and licensing, just hitting the Dolph market and that's it. If it was a $80 million theatrical flick that would be totally different and they might have asked Dolph to tone down the violence. TE is not RAMBO anyway. BUt as they said they'll probably cut two versions, maybe test them and see...

Dolph knows how to play drums, he used to when he was younger and trained to be better in the film.

It seems we have a DVD release date from First Look (not Sony again, what happened?)
November 3, 2009 (Dolph's birthday!)

Hmmmm I don't like this. For once I wished it was Sony and I was hoping for something bigger from Command Performance. I understand this is 2009 and it is a Dolph Lundgren movie so don't give me that shit. But honestly...First Look kinda suck. Look at their shitty Direct Contact trailer full of spoilers and the four year old cover. I'm sure Dolph will try to keep them in line with this one. I'm curious to know why Sony didn't pick it up. They haven't even released any Seagal movies recently.
