I think the negative reviews at imdb, piracy, Dolph not directing, no promotion and other factors is what made DC not really reaching the rental charts. DC was more of a paycheck for Dolph, but Command Performance is more his baby and he will do everything he can to make this movie succesfull

I agree that there was a negative aura surrounding this movie and upon seeing it again I have noticed tonnes more stock footage. Not a great movie at all, would rather forget this one even happened. I will still buy it when it is finally released in the UK, but I couldn't wait so I watched it online. Which I will not do with CP...but as the time drew on and the reviews came out I suspected it might not be the most special Dolph movie of recent years so I will confess I gave in and viewed it online.

I personally don't understand all the negative comments about this movie, I thought it was one of the most enjoyable movies he ever made (together with Showdown In Little Tokyo, which also wasn't verry good, but really funny). Gina was hot, Dolph showed us he can still kick ass and the explosions looked really good. Dolph's character may not be as interesting as in The Shooter/Hidden Assassin or Sweepers, but that didn't matter to me. I liked the non-stop-action attitude and personally wasn't even dissapointed by the end fight between Dolph and Michael.

God damn! Why is it that everything seems to become cooler and more awesome if the Japanese do it?

Dubai, India? hey that's cool, i'm happy. i met a real nice girl at Church from India a year and a half ago - Rose, and i told her all about Dolph and showed her some of his movies, and it was funny b/c she told me - oh no, that Dolph is just not her type of guy. makes sense to me. but i'm happy that his movie will be released theatrically in Dubai (if that's India) so i can tell Rose when i speak to her.

Poor evegotbet, she can't win. "Dubai, India". Great stuff.

I've heard that DL movies often get theatrical releases in Arab and African countries. Is that true? I lived in Tunisia for a year, and even though that qualifies as both an African and an Arab country I didn't see any Dolph releases in the cinema. Come to think of it, I didn't see any cinemas.
