I'm also just about to deliver my director's cut of ICARUS, a 'neo-noir' thriller I shot in Vancouver earlier this year. The budget is nothing like THE EXPENDABLES, but the story is very interesting and I hope that my fans will enjoy seeing me in something a bit different. I still blow away plenty of bad guys-- even though this is more a European-style, dark, character-driven film. And the ending is cool-- real cool."

Sounds good to me. I just hope he doesn't give away that ending!

some custom artwork I had done:

Other taglines I thought of are:
"He's a professional".

"He's your executioner".

"Violence has its history".

The first one is GREAT! The second one is really good too. That photo of DL is badass!
Versions of the tagline:

"He's a loving husband and father... And he kills people."

"Husband, father, hitman"

Used the original of this one and tweaked the contrast and brightness:

Some cool looking artwork there J, the best we've seen so far IMO. I love the 2nd one, and the poster. Can't wait for this flick. The more I watch the trailer, the more I'm liking that gritty and minimalist (let no one call it cheap) look. It kind of works. After all, Mann did it with Public Enemies. He's taking some flak for that, but most people seem to be liking the whole look of the film.

Guys, I've had the chance to see a cut of the first 20 mins (temp music and sound)! And I must say ICARUS looks very promising! Not only the look of it, but in terms of directing, editing and storytelling. And it's not as straight forward as the teaser lets it seem (not as simplistic as "loving father and husband is called to be a hitman again and protect his family")...

Will see how it turns out, for now Dolph is turning his director's cut to the producers, there might be changes, and then it's up to scoring, sound design etc...

Sounds amazing!

Let's hope that the producers accept his vision.

I knew this one would be good, I had my reservations about Cinetel but the stills look so promising and I just hope that it works out great in the end. Hopefully Dolph will direct another movie when he is done with TE, nearer the end of the year.

Oooh colour me jealous.

I hope you're not going to do this regularly ;)

'Guys - I've just seen this news scene where Dolph - well that would be telling!'

and

'Wow! You. Will. Not. Believe. It! Wish I could tell you more, but I promised a big blonde guy not to.'

Or am I giving you ideas? ;)

If I was I would have started before. So I'm protecting you from being hurt and contract a hitman to kill me
