Rough translation from Russian...they mentioned Icarus also...on page before this one...

4. «Dangerous tour»

Again, Lundgren, and then Russia. According to secular chronology might have seemed that Dolf only does that prohlazhdaetsya in the capital, Al does not - and still manages to shoot film. True shooting in Moscow lasted only two days (the rest being filmed in Bulgaria), but this is quite enough for the plans of the Red Square and a few streets, which will create the illusion that all action takes place in pervoprestolnoy. For even greater plausibility Dolf moved to Bulgaria of Russian artists - a group of «Pilgrim» and singer Irsen Kudikovu.

Troubadour need for entourage: in the Moscow concert of American stars, who visited President of Russia (in performance Khristo Shopova, scared like a national political figure), the terrorists like sabotage. All entrances and exits are blocked, and the only hope of multitudes - the drummer (Lundgren), who once served in the Marines.

Shooting has long been completed and cherished DVD will go on sale this year. In the meantime, you can admire the very nedurstvennym the extended trailer, which sounds the main musical theme of the film Breakdown of the execution group D2:

I missed that cover. Holy shit, I thought that was a joke or a fan-made cover. First Look? Wtf? Why are you using 2 and 3 year old photos for all the covers. Damn I'm so pissed off at them, get your fucking cheap hands off Dolph's movies you assholes. I fucking hate First Look, I'm gonna give them a first look at my middle finger, the cheap, don't give a toss, lazy bastards. No wonder DC didn't even chart with that shitty cover, holy shit!! Don't fuck up Command Performance please, this is the jewel in Dolph's crown. That is soooooo fucking lazy it's unreal. No-name company bastards, I hope they go bust and Lionsgate picks up CP...in my dreams of course.

Everything I expected from the first official trailer, a set of bad ass lines, a set of bad ass characters and some fucking brilliant looking action. That was a great classic Nu Image trailer. Love the voice-over and love the writing they used for the title and names. Very nice indeed, totally kicks ass and doesn't take shit too seriously, the way it should have been.

Very nice! Now we wait for dolphage's enhanced version. ;-)

I just wonder what it takes to make a movie look expensive. I think this one shows (again) that the budget is low. Is it the lighting? The cameras they used? What does it take to make a scene look expensive, just from the look and feel, if you know what I mean? What is it that takes only a split second for us to judge if a movie is a-list or b-list?

I'll wait for confirmation but here they announce the CP DVD and Blu-Ray with behind-the-scenes footage; interviews and trailers...

Odd considering First Look discs have been totally bare bones lately...

This already IS a well functioning trailer. Not a lot of things wrong with it IMO. I would only make it worse.

I think there are a lot of things that can give you that, unmistakeble, B-movie feel. In this trailer i would say that:
*The camera work is randomly shakey and it is almost always shot from normal shoulder height, those things are reminiscent of home videos and help make a movie look cheap.

*In this conversion, the darkest shade available is GREY and that looks a little so-so.

*Also, a lot takes place in the editing, where they could have found the least B-looking shots and really limited they cheapness factor.

*I feel that they could have fattended up some of the sound to (the knife/skull effect is good though)

That's just of the top of my head. But I quite like this trailer, it's such a step up from Direct Contact. It's funny and decently paced. I'm not dissatisfied, really.

By the way maybe I need to stress that

1/ this was encoded from a low-res file
2/ this trailer was made months ago before post-production ended and therefore any color timing / correction
3/ it's like this trailer was cut to make the movie look cheaper and cheesier than it is (Nu Image doesn't seem to give it more credit than DC really or they have no clue)

Sure it does look low budget but an expensive low budget. Overall I'm pretty sure the movie looks quite slick. Also the way it was shot is really for the big screen, really not meant to be seen as a small video on your computer. So even though I know there's a lot of stuff that won't hide the limitations, it will look pretty cool!

Well, we should be thankful that they're at least making up for the shitty cover with some special features!

AITH ACTION ROUND-UP

Command Performance trailer!

There's a brand new trailer out now for the Dolph Lundgren directed action / rock-n-roll hybrid COMMAND PERFORMANCE, and it's everything you'd expect from Lundgren playing a rock star who also knows how to kick a lot of ass and blow shit up.

What I dig about this flick is the originality of it all. Some could say DIE HARD, PASSENGER 57, and UNDER SIEGE with a rock-n-roll twist, and I'd have to agree... but I wouldn't call it a bad thing. Plus, Lundgren flippin' directed this thing! I can't wait for November 3rd for my chance to check it out on DVD. In the meantime, enjoy the new trailer below!
