You're gonna ask him to marry you again, aren´t you? NO MEANS NO, Mike!

Damn - and I have so much to offer!

;)

I think you know perfectly well what 'impromptu' means and you're just trying to come over as modest - ain't workin' dude.

Oh yeah it's been on my mind and I'm pretty sure I mentioned it to him. Right now it's not in our priority list (i.e. official site and such) but it's definitely among other things in the back of my mind for the future. He's definitely open to such ideas and as you must already know it Dolph only wants to please his fans  So in some form or another (forum, Q&A, live chat) it should happen someday.

Awesome! We'll stay tuned for more.

I thought I knew what it meant but, I swear, I had to google it just to make sure.

Good to read that Dolph isn't ready for directing without acting. I mean, sure, would be good for him maybe. But I'm totally selfish here. I want to see him! I want to see him kick some ass! Dolph still rulez, would be a shame to put him only behind the camera.

You are being selfish Mosquito
And even if he did Eastwood still did that on and off without totally quit acting did he? (although I hear he might now at 79 but that leaves us with at least a another good 25 years with Dolphie until he does his own Gran Torino)

Yes, but to be honest: Take a look at Clint's filmography as a director. Those are big budget, top of the cream movies. Whether he acts or directs or both, it's always 1a movies. Dolph's however aren't exactly always up for an award. I watch them because Dolph is there. If it would be the same movies but with other actors I didn't care about, I wouldn't watch them. Even if Dolph was behind the camera.

But I don't want to paint a dark future. If he manages a great comeback with The Expendables, maybe he will be able to star in and/or direct big budget movies.

I think if he would step behind the camera without acting the whole point would be to do something that's not a Dolph Lundgren movie per say so it could be totally very different and give him maybe more freedom just in terms of content. I know I may sound crazy but I care more about him breaking through and being recognized as an artist rather than being cash cow (even though it would be ok to make more bucks after all the ups and down). But I mean he cares more about writing and directing now and it's totally understandable if he wants to focus on just directing once in a while, even just for him on a personal level (and also just to be able to really focus and take time to do things right which starring AND directing doesn't really allow)...

But I can tell you right now it's not having a supporting role in THE EXPENDABLES that will give him $50 million budgets to direct and star in a movie. It's certainly giving a huge boost to his career but it's not gonna make Hollywood kiss his ass to direct and star in "big budget" movies (sure hopefully "bigger")...

Absolutely, and I would give it a try for sure. But unless it's something really good I wouldn't buy it. And currently I buy every Dolph movie... even The Last Patrol which really takes a lot of enthusiasm. :?

Sure but it's a step in the right direction. Expendables -> bigger movies -> bigger movies and bigger roles -> total mainstream stardom. ;-)

Very nice! Bad sound, some well known questions and answers but also a few new ones. Cool! I won't watch the other one, thanks for the spoiler warning!

Very nice interview, with some new stuff and in-depth answers! I wonder if Dolph has met Clint Eastwood in person. He always mentions how he admires Clint's work.

Yeah I haven't had the chance to ask him, I figure he probably had the chance to shake his hand once at least but I'm not sure.
