I take it, it's the sexuality part you are smiling at....

It does indeed, the one thing Dolph has been consistent in with his self-directed movies is the level of violence. Always a few good head shots, decapitations with shotguns and a novelty death to boot.

Trailer on Amazon in a slightly better quality than on HMH

(I hope they won't release it in 1.78 aspect ratio as mentioned on the site)

Does look really good this one. Damn producers though! I've got to try and lower expectations for the finished product. Especially as all the previous films of theirs, all had awful sound and editing. I just watched Damage with Stone Cold Steve Austin yesterday, and it was really poor.

The DVD companies better not started full-screening this sucker! I want it in 2-35, as intended. It just makes the thing look a lot bigger, more scope, and less like a TV film. I saw CP in 1-85, and also in its 2-35 intended, and it looks far better in scope as it was filmed.

I've got to admit, I'm really excited for this one too. I love shootouts and Dolph always has something cool and unique to bring to the table. My main concern for this one is the colour... look at that scene where he kicks the guy through the door, that's shit. I hope they colour corrected that properly and it's not as I fear, in that state in the actual movie, it looks fucking cheap compared to everything else.

Some guy who probably wouldn't enjoy Dolph movies anyway posted a review on IMDB but don't take it seriously. (plus there's minor spoilers which aren't really but give you more about some details which i don't think are necessary to know before you see it by yourself)...

Now here is a valuable and lengthy review from German TV director Hasko Baumann, who worked with Dolph on the "Into the night" episode in Stockholm in 2006 and is obviously a fan of the man.
And he apparently loved iCARUS!

Maybe Mosquito or Darling can write a condensed summary of it?

Thanks Jox. Sounds interesting. I like that he mentioned that there will be a few gory scenes:-) This movie is on my top 5 movie list of 2010. 2 months to go.

And here's an interview with exec producer Paul Hertzberg (CineTel) about ICARUS pre-sales in Lloyd Kaufman (Troma Films) book "Produce Your Own Damn Movie"! (which has a DVD in which Dolph appears I think)

Wow, ok, I'll give it a try. I guess Google would skip too many made-up words. So first of all Hasko praises Dolph as a very kind, charming and friendly person, as well as a perfect professional. He has the highest respect for Dolph's directorial work so far and complains about people on the Web who claim that Dolph just does it for easy retirement money. (Many people say that Dolph is a very nice person but Hasko seems extremely convinced.)

About the movie: Hasko says it's an old-school, not funny but very tough movie with an ambivalent Dolph, definitely not the sympathetic hero. He also praises Bo Svenson as a superior nemesis compared to the usual suspects from the other movies (Eastern European actors). Likes the movie very much and calls it one of Dolph's best, even though he thinks that you can see the limited budget in some dialogue scenes. But he says what all people say: Dolph is a master in getting absolutely the best out of any given budget.

Ok, that was not exactly a perfect summary but you get the idea. ;-)
