I think they did it since the cat was out of the bag and it was so anticipated that they decided to capitalize on it. Sly is also very attentive to his fans reactions on StalloneZone and people really wanted the action kings trio to show up.

But again I'm excited to see his name flash on screen with the rest. Wonder why Terry Crews isn't listed? I know he's not a huge star but I figure if Couture is mentioned then so should Crews.

All in all a terrific trailer that should go over well with audiences.

I was quite surprised that Austin, Couture and Lundgren got credits. On the one hand, Couture and Austin bring in the UFC/WWE crowd (which really hasn't turned out for films but). Leaving Crews out is a mistake simply because he's a black actor that's been in many movies and a popular TV series and lends himself to the urban market. Just shows that Lionsgate is hedging on the all male action audience.

I thought Lundgren would get a credit and every other one of The Expendables and Steve Austin, I was a little surprised at Rourke being so high up the credit list but it's probably obvious why. The one thing that shocked me is that Sly was last? When Statham's name came up first I actually thought I'd missed Sly's name, but no. Maybe he "offered" to go last?

I think that was actually his way of making himself more prominent than the others like "and ME"!

Yeah Rourke is probably barely gonna be in the film (not more than Arnold and Bruce) but he was already a respected actor in the 80s and he sure did a good comeback so they capitalize on his name for the trailer, Dolph still gets fourth credit (after Sly, Statham and Li) in the billing block which is good with all those guys around.

Definately mate, I appreciate the fact that he's in this at all, when I watched Diamond Dogs last year I would have never expected it. I hope reviewers mention him especially when the movie comes out.

[Emperor Palpatine voice]Good, good ...[/Emperor Palpatine voice] Assuming that's correct, then I officially have no more worries regarding this movie. Not that I had that many in the first place.

from imdb

Will this be R or PG-13?

Producer Avi Lerner has reported that the film will be cut down to two versions, a PG-13-rating edit and an R-rated version, both of which will be screen tested to see which one will be officially released. Lerner is considering cutting down the violence because of the success of recent PG-13 action films.

UPDATE: The R rated cut was screen tested to resounding success. According to unit publicist Sheryl Main's Twitter:

"One thing for sure the expendables is not pg-13!!! "

its blurry, and I didn't even noticed until I started to watch trailer frame by frame because I'm taking screencaps...

Nice! Looks intense. 8) Wonder who'll actually win the fight, or if it'll end in a tie ...

For the promo tour, I would really like them (and especially dolph) to do what Schwarzenegger did for T3 : a premiere in my town (Toulouse). I t would be awesome (but it won't happen).

Stallone pulled up next to my friend yesterday in traffic driving an old corvette convertible. He said Sly is looking good but his car had no plates on it.

I'd like to see them arrive at the premiere on those Expendables bikes.... if there was any way of getting this idea to Sly!!!! Or is it not quite as awesome as I think?
