I've said it for years and will reiterate it again... Yes, Sly's in phenomenal shape for a 64-year-old, but if he and Dolph were to square off, my money's on Dolph. Hands down. Just look at that picture.

I feel like I should be out running around the house, shouting out my excitement, but before that, I'll just report that SF has announced a release date for The Expendables here in Sweden - August 13th! :D YES! YES! YES! Thank God it worked out, though I'm surprised that we still got the earliest possible date, was expecting a September or October release, but I'm certainly not complaining! 8)

Great! 8)
Here they say they're working on getting Dolph AND Sly for August 11th (might be tough if they're at the Vegas premiere on 10th).

From Maple Pictures:
Dolph Lundgren will be in Toronto to do some Canadian press for THE EXPENDABLES! Thanks for everyone who posted questions for him!

Well if Will Smith can do it - http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/showbiz/new ... cords.html - so can Dolph!

Please tune in tomorrow to see Dolph Lundgren on Canada AM (CTV) in support of THE EXPENDABLES! He will be on air at 8:05AM (in all time zones). Watch. Enjoy. Pump some iron!

WIRED Analyzing the Expendability of The Expendables' Tough Guys
http://www.wired.com/magazine/2010/07/pl_screen_action/
To measure who still matters in Hollywood, Wired broke down each actor’s value using a proprietary equation: Biggest Action-Movie Box Office + Weapon of Choice ÷ Relative Proximity to Serial C-List Actress Brigitte Nielsen = Level of Unexpendability. What we discovered might surprise you: For starters, Mickey Rourke is less expendable than Sly, and a forgotten 1995 movie that Nielsen starred in called Galaxis may be the nexus of the ’80s action universe.

wow, i didn't know Sly is 64 - wow. Anyway, no "squaring off" - we don't want any real blood and gore - we don't want anyone to get hurt because it will hurt all the fans! Right? :) . Right :!: . :D.

Dolph interviewed on Access Hollywood

Review

Gunner, on the other hand, is a bit psychotic and developmentally challenged. He is purely irrational. And in some ways he is child-like. Lundgren completely embodies the character, giving the audience this sense of not knowing what he was going to do next. You see that he struggles between his loyalties, but you are not sure whether he will choose the right or wrong path.

Lets hope this will be the general consensus regarding Dolphs performance, sounds perfect!

Lots of beind the scenes footage (think it's called B-roll footage?), VERY SPOILERY, but looks excellent:

Yep rough behind the scenes footage is called "B-roll" in the industry.
