Sly and Dolph on Entertainment Tonight :D

"I don't like Swedish people at all; they're too tall, too handsome, too tough -- it just gets to you," says Sly with a smile. "He just stepped up and nailed it, and I wish I had more screen time for him because [Dolph plays] just one of those interesting, duplicitous characters you love, hate 'em, love, hate 'em."

Thanks.
He seems to be serious about looking for a Swedish project to do. I'd like that.

Was on holiday for a week and seen some pretty wild Expendables promo. All the recent Dolph interviews are fantastic too, can't wait for the red carpet premiere. Thinking of catching an advanced screening on the 13th in the UK, if I can accquire tickets, site is meant to notify me of when they become available. Anyway, I went to a cinema to see The Karate Kid which was sold out hours before hand on the opening weekend, so we saw Inception instead and Karate Kid a day or two later. The whole top floor of the cinema was kitted out with Expendables posters, it's so surreal to see Dolph's name up there. One of the biggest supermarkets had a huge section of DVD's dedicated to The Expendables and every DVD featuring Sly, Lundgren, Statham Austin etc all have an "ACTION LEGENDS - THE EXPENDABLES 19TH AUGUST" sticker on them. Hopefully the promo will heat up a bit now in the UK, pretty pumped for this, enough to buy the Anchor Bay version of Men of War. Will post a picture later with the little Expendables logo/tag.

It reminds me of good old times to see EXPENDABLES posters and marquees with Dolph in the streets of Paris, awesome!

Yeah I've heard him talk about Swedish projects wince JOHNNY MNEMONIC but it was hard hard to get off the ground, now it's been a couple of years he's seriously working on it and with all the recent Dolph-mania in Sweden it's a good time to do it! 8)

It's great to see names on cinema posters that before I have only been accustomed to seeing on DVD cases on the bottom shelf. I hope this movie makes an impact, saw the trailer for Scott Pilgrim which looks shit so I hope The Expendables knocks seven bells out of Julia Roberts and Scott Pilgrim and proves that there is still an audience for this kind of action movie.

My thoughts exactly! Though I have to admit, with Edgar Wright being one of my favorite directors, that I'm a little intrigued with Scott Pilgrim, so I'm glad they don't open on the same weekend here in Sweden.

Btw, the Expendables-hype here seems to be heating up as well, the whole debacle with the postponed release appears to have increased awareness and the online support has been pretty huge. Plus with Dolph's newfound popularity through Melodifestivalen, and the fact that we like our movies with lots of stars in them, I think the Expendables will do very well here. :)
