The cool thing is all BR titles from this company are released as DVD + BR combos for those haven't upgraded yet. Oh and I added to my notes a last minute wink to you girls

Trivia:
the 1988 DTV flick PHANTOM RAIDERS starring 80s DTV star (if there were any at the time, filled wit Reb Brown and the likes doing low budget action flicks shot in Italy or the Philippines) Miles O'Keefe was released in Spain like some kind of RED SCORPION sequel or spin off called RED PHANTOM

Man, this one sure has been shuffled around in terms of rights... I can't remember who initially had the rights to this one back during its initial release, especially on video. However, I do remember Starkmaker putting out a cheapo bargain copy of it in the '90's in the US (many of us might remember Starmaker -- they put out lots of bargain VHS tapes, all with an ugly yellow/gold border going around the box). Then I remember it getting a DVD release, again through a cheap DVD company, and then another through of all people, 20th Century Fox.

It appears now out-of-print, so here's my question... Could anyone chart Red Scorpion's progression in terms of distribution over the years? And, since it now appears out-of-print, what are the chances of it getting another DVD release?

The original theatrical and home video release was by the defunct company SGE-Shapiro-Glickenhaus Entertainment (MANIAC COP, THE EXTERMINATOR, SHAKEDOWN). Other than that you charted the progression well, the only one you forget is Dimitar who did the first DVD release in 1998.

what are the chances of it getting another DVD release?
Read back the previous two pages of this thread: Synapse Films has announced and started work on a BD/DVD combo edition (to be released later this year) with a new transfer in original aspect ratio, my own liner notes I just wrote, and probably some good special features depending on what they manage to get a hold of, and possibly a new audio commentary to be recorded. 8)

Yep yep, I'm glad I hooked him up with Synapse Films for that, Joseph Zito shall be involved in this edition as well. It could become one of the best editions for a Dolph movie...! :D

Hey Jox!
Do you know what region the Blu-ray will have??

Good question, I'm not sure if the Synapse editions are locked, if so then region A, otherwise all region. Note that it will be with a DVD on a second disc.
