Haven't seen photos of that guy without make-up but it seems that he resembles a young Dolph a bit, at least when it comes to stature and hair.

What's for sure with those pics is that it's gonna kick ass and feature a lot more testosterone and bare bare chested ripped muscles than than the previous one!

Ab.so.lut.ely. - I haven't watched part 2 and 3 yet but I won't miss this one. Guess I don't need to ever watch part 2 anyways.

Dolph looks like a comic book villain, which I kinda like, it's pretty badass and I like the fact both him and JC look completely different in this movie. Also digging the dyed blonde hair, very funny. Wil Shriver vs Dolph would be immense. Imagine Dolph beating up Jet in TE-2 and then Wil comes through the door and Dolph's eyes go from looking down at Jet to looking up at Wil, would be a brilliant in-joke.

The longer I think about that Shriver guy it just *has* to be the new and improved version modelled after Sgt. Andrew Scott, don't you think? An enhanced clone? Would be cool if Dolph fought "Himself v2.0".

Nathan: Comic Book villain all the way. I saw that photo and thought that no-one can doubt now that Dolph is Duke Nukem. 100 percent look-a-like.

Wes Shivers anyone? Have no idea who he is but I assume he's another boxer, wrestler, MMA fighter or ex-football champ?! The guy is 6'8 so even bigger than Dolph!

Shivers is indeed a MMA fighter with an 8-1 pro record. He was on THE ULTIMATE FIGHTER season 10 (the one featuring Kimbo Slice) and is famous for having his head split open by Jon Madsen in their match. It was really, really bloody.

Did you just finish or are you still filming the new Universal Soldier movie? [Universal Soldier: A New Dimension]

I'm done with that. We finished about two weeks ago in Baton Rouge - it was nice to work with John Hyams again. I have some fights with Andrei Arlovski and Scott Adkins and I have one kind of sermon that I hold for all of these soldiers which was kind of fun. It was like a five page monologue - so that's something I really haven't done before, so that was fun.

Yeah, I really enjoy that series - especially when you're involved in them. So I can't wait for that one.

Well, thanks man. It should be fun. It's in 3D as well - which I haven't worked in 3D, but I saw some stuff on the set on the monitor. It looks cool, it looks interesting. Not really going for the coming at ya feel, it's more kind of old school a little more restrained, which I think is a good choice by John Hyams.

Welcome to the June newsletter from http://www.scottadkins.com, the only place for the most current and up to date news on Scott Adkins. This month we get Scott's thoughts about Universal Soldier: New Dimension with Dolph Lundgren, Jean Claude Van Damme and Andrei Arlovski.

UNIVERSAL SOLDIER 4

Scott has just arrived back to the UK after a tough 8 weeks in Baton Rouge, Louisianna and a week of meetings in Los Angeles. He seems very upbeat about Universal Soldier when we talk to him.
"It was a great experience, I'm very excited about the movie....couldn't be happier to be honest, I think it's going to be great! You never really know if you have a good movie until you see the first cut but all I can say is that in terms of action, the script, the look of the movie and my performance, I'm excited to say the least."
On filming in 3D Scott said, "It's strange to watch the monitor with the 3D glasses on, especially when you spen most of your days with your face covered in sticky blood but it looks really cool. It didn't really change anything for me except for in the fights we had to make sure that we were throwing kicks and punches even closer to each others faces because of the depth perception that is increased through 3D. So that was a lot of fun, especially with Andrei."
On working with Andrei Arlovski, "Great fun! Really hard worker and really puts 100% into the fight scenes. We have a brilliant fight with baseball bats which I think will turn out awesome!"
On Dolph, "Genuine guy, very proffessional. He will probably steal the scenes that he is in again for sure!"
On JCVD, "Always a great pleasure and honour to work with JC, this is my third movie with him so I think I will have to give him a break now and stop stalking him into his movies."
On John Hyams (director), "Very smart and talented guy. He's written a very good script that takes the franchise in a slightly different direction. I'll be suprised if this film doesn't get him snapped up by the Hollywood studios".

Future Projects


Scott will soon be seen in Re-Kill & Assassination Games with Jean-Claude Van Damme in 2011. Universal Soldier 4 with JCVD and Dolph Lundgren will be released 2012.
