I have no clue about cinemas, but there's a new small cinema built in a renovated building nearby. I've been told people can rent it. Do you think even small, new cinemas have the equipment to handle this?

EDIT: Just found the shipping. 45.50$... phew. So if I own it it still doesn't mean I can just show it publicly, right?

Of course, most movies are still projected from 35mm prints, thankfully.

Right, it's like private home video/DVD copies, owing one you bought doesn't grant you the license for public use and screening. But you can rent the cinema for yourself like some celebrities sometimes do ;)

6 full 35mm reels is huge and very heavy, so $50 doesn't seem so expensive when I think about it (I was told shipping to France would be $200), this is something like this and usually comes in two big metal cans:

He said that it wold be a medium flat box so I looked the tariff up at the USPS site. Maybe I was wrong?

Anyway. Would have been nice to watch this in the cinema with friends but I guess it would be too eccentric to spend all that money.
