I like this film a lot. Its a shame they didn't have a bigger budget. Some good one liners in it, although I wasn't a fan of the drunk guy.
Is there an off switch to your mouth?

There's little chance according to director Mark Goldblatt himself, as long as there are legal issues with the rights. (but that didn't keep the Germans from releasing a non-authorized DVD). Making a proper BR would require legal access to inter-negative or print...

http://twitchfilm.com/reviews/2011/10/marvel-in-the-80s-the-punisher.php

Over the next several weeks, Comics Bulletin will be teaming up with Twitch to explore the world of Marvel Comics film adaptations in a series of essays from some of our best writers. We'll begin with Marvel's early efforts in the '70s, '80s and '90s before moving on to the more modern era of adaptations that Blade heralded. These essays will cover the ground of some of Marvel's most obscure adaptations and shine a light on how far comic adaptations as a whole have come in that time, as well as showcasing some of the value that can still be found in these early explorations. This installment by Paul Brian McCoy.]

After the failure to launch either a Thor or Daredevil TV series, in 1989 Marvel came out swinging once more. The late-Eighties was a strange time at Marvel Comics, with a bizarre mix of overly gritty super hero remixes and outlandish concepts that are still hard to take seriously. There were some gems released during that time, though. And this was the beginning of what would become a frenzy of activity for an unlikely superstar: Frank Castle, The Punisher.

... and now I'm glad that two years of dedicated study of the French language. It's really fun! And very sorry for crying Lundgren! Thank you!
