Just watched the Dolph interview (30 mins) on the Arrow edition, really nice, very candid, great to hear him talk about the film and this time of his career. The Jay Chattaway (composer) is not bad either. It's weird to hear about this film as one who stood the test of time now, after it was released as a bargain bin exploitation flick (I was alone in the theater when I saw it). Listening to the Joe Zito commentary now...

D'abord cette interview a pu se faire parce que j'ai mis l'éditeur en relation avec Dolph et qu'ils avaient une équipe sur place. Ensuite il faudrait que le distributeur qui a les droits en France aujourd'hui (Fravidis aux dernières nouvelles) y croit et mette le temps et les moyens, ce qui est moins évident que ça en a l'air. Mais bon faut pas se focaliser sur ce qui sort en France et en plus cette édition sera toutes zones et en combo BR+DVD donc y a pas à se plaindre déjà qu'une telle édition pour un film comme le SCORPION ROUGE (et de Dolph en général) sorte, où que se soit dans le monde, relève du miracle inespéré.

Jox, tack för att du, indirekt, gjorde denna utgåva möjlig. Red Scorpion är inte det mest naturliga valet för att göra en specialutgåva så vi får vara nöjda för det lilla. Dessutom, tack för att jag får testa mina, bristfälliga franskakunskaper när du skriver på ditt eget tungomål på forumet. Jag föreslår att vi alla skriver på våra egna språk från och med nu. Eller inte.

I didn't even know this was out already (where???), but it's the same as the Dutch and Swedish edition (used the same master, and only the film) as they all got it from the same company.
