Great news, another Blu-ray is in preparation at Koch Media (Germany), they do a good job usually, and they recorded a Mark Goldblatt commentary for it!

Yeah!! There's no release date for the German / Koch Media disc yet though, but that's awesome news! So now with MASTERS coming this Tuesday in the States, we'll just be missing DARK ANGEL on Blu for the original Dolph classics! 8)

They're planning mediabook edition, including a text from a Marvel-editor, a DVD of the film, a Blu-ray with the American R-Rated-version and the Unrated-version (with SD-fill-ins) and an audio commentary by director Mark Goldblatt and a special features-DVD with trailers, an artwork-gallery etc.

AN QUESTION OF THE DAY (from Dean):
• "Aside from THE PUNISHER, is there any other comic book character you wanted to play?"

• No...

The Dutch BD release has been pushed to November 9 instead of today.

Translation (German speakers let us know if it sounds accurate):
"So there's a movie like this, because we are relatively far. The Blu-ray is similar to a Cronenberg film (the most recently announced at 30.11) we include two versions, the U.S. theatrical version in pure HD and an unrated version, where we got an old master from Japan and the scenes have added as much as possible. The director was so nice and gave us added an audio commentary for the film and we had to dig a bit in its archive. As a 35-roll was with went wrong stunts, bloopers, etc. as well as the original beta tape of his first workprint cut version, so no 10 VHS copy of a rumgegangen, but the original. German trailer in the raw version (not the censored version of VHS) and original trailer."

A few glitches but mainly accurate. He said it's not the 10th copy of a circulating VHS tape but directly from the original.

And the second quote has not been translated:
Yes, that did not refer to Army but to a movie by Mr. Goldblatt.

Yes I think this is referring to the workprint (rough-cut with temp music, prologue and original ending) that will be transfered from an original beta-tape (unlike the version that previously circulated)!

It's a strange request, but does anybody know of any way to get the old German High Land 'official bootleg' Punisher DVD these days? I'm aware that it's rare now and a really bad transfer, but I want it badly for a very geeky and rather sad reason XD

Highland (unofficial bootleg) or Highlight (official "bootleg")?

Sorry, High Land... the one with the cover mock up that looks like a UK dvd. Same company that released the Silent Trigger US/Frenck mashup release.
