Same here
(and also considering that it was not R or 18 in France, not even PG-12!)

Matthias Hues on DA:
Eoin: I’d like to start off by talking about your iconic role in I Come in Peace/Dark Angel; you had to do all your own stunts in the movie, which I’m a huge fan of because it makes the action look more authentic. Did it become important to you to do your own stunts as much as possible in your other movies?

Matthias: First of all thank you for the kind words, it means a lot to me to hear that the film reached quite a lot of people and some became fans, thanks! As for the stunts it was more like I signed on to do them as it was part of the deal I had with the director Craig Baxley. He and the production looked for someone who had the athletic abilities to do all their stunts as they wished to portray the Alien as life-like as possible. Their goal to show at all times, in close up and details it is the Alien doing all the action and not some stunt man in a wig. So at times it was quite a hell ride to survive another day of shooting but I was a track and field champion in Europe and running fast, jumping high was part of my daily routine. Now with fire chasing you, one simply runs faster and leaps a few inches further.

Eoin: Even after all this time, I’d still love to see a sequel; if the opportunity came around would you sign up for I Come in Peace 2?

Matthias: Of course, I will be on board, till today it was my best time in a film ever in my career.

For US fans, here is the beginning with the I COME IN PEACE title
(and the Paramount logo weirdly enough)

Do they hold the TV or PPV rights?

Maybe. As far as I know MGM owns all right but they may havez sub-licensed it like they did with Shout Factory for the BD. From this video it seems it was shown on HD somewhere but was it the US or like South America or something? All I want is the special edition release from Shout Factory to come faster!

Weird things like that happen occasionally; I have a budget dvd copy of Roland Emmerich's debut Moon 44, but it's got the Warner Brothers logo up front... there's never been any evidence that they ever licenced it... like I say, odd!

Any specs or content info on Dark Angel??? :)

Not yet, except that Dolph will appear from the same interview as JOSHUA TREE and that it will very likely be in original widescreen 1.85:1 aspect ratio with DTS-HD Master Audio 2.0 and 5.1 sound tracks. Hopefully Craig Baxley will appear, and who knows, maybe even Brian Benben and Matthias Hues?

I hate to sound skeptical or pessimistic, but is there enough of a demand to warrant this getting put out on blu-ray? The DVD took long enough and seemed sufficient. Yes, the Dolph fanbase is large, and yes, plenty of other releases have been put out that makes one wonder... But is this title going to sell well to those outside of Dolph's legion of fans? With the DVD and blu-ray market the way it is, I can't help but doubt it. How much is Shout! banking on this release? Will it be a money-maker or a loss for them? As excited as I am to see this get a proper release, I can't imagine this being a top-seller...
