Dolphs just doing the festival route as he works his way to the Oscars. Battle Of The Damned, best picture. Best actor in a leading role! ;)

Usually yeah, but now there are more festivals out there for genre movies especially in the horror/fantastic/sci-fi genre, and remember UNISOL DAY OF RECKONING played successfully in a bunch of festivals like this (in Germany, Austin's Fantastic Fest, After Dark Toronto, Paris International Fantastic Film Festival etc)...

It's now official: BATTLE OF THE DAMNED will be screened at 46th edition of the Sitges International Fantastic Film Festival of Catalonia (near Barcelona)!

It will be part of the Panorama/ Midnight X-treme section and will open their annual Zombie Film Marathon. The festival takes place October 11-20 near Barcelona.

Our popular Zombie Film Marathon, that is kicked off anually with the famous Zombie Walk, will open with the film Battle of the Damned – a Robots-vs-Zombies actioner with Dolph Lundgren as the massacre master.

HOLY SHIT! Sorry for my rude words, but just now I went to the pages of the cinema nearby that's the only one still showing OV movies. And WHAT DID I SEE?! WHAT?!

THEY WILL SHOW BATTLE OF THE DAMNED THIS FRIDAY!!!

Holy...

So if you are near the city of Bochum on Friday, go to the UCI cinema and watch Battle of the Damned at 11pm. It seems that it will be in German unfortunately but hey, the dialogue won't by mission critical.

Wow lucky you! Doesn't even seem it's anything official, or maybe they do special screenings across the country to promote the release in August.

By the way, it seems the retail DVD/BD will be available as early as August in Switzerland as opposed to September in Germany.

That's right! Basically it has a special screening tomorrow at 11pm in all UCI Kinowelt theatres (Berlin, Hamburg, Düsseldorf, Potsdam and more...)

Fantastic! So if you are close to the German border check out http://www.uci-kinowelt.de - they have a map showing all cinemas across Germany.

Looks like I will miss this one though. Still sick at home feeling pity for myself. Pfffff. :-( Always missing the good opportunities.

No comment, you did not miss UNISOL 4 last year though. ;)

So did anybody go?

Ok, so I miss some good opportunities. But I hate it every time! ;-)

Haven't heard anything so far, also not on the German movie board I visit frequently or elsewhere.

Even on the VD forum where there are a lot of Germans fans (and seem excited to see the flick), nobody seem to have bothered to go... at least no reaction so far. Too bad, if I had known earlier, I might have even drove with a friend to go! Hope for a French screening at the Paris Fantastic Film Festival (where US DOR was shown) but it's in November and even by the time it gets screen at the SITGES festival near Barcelona, I probably would already have seen it on Blu.
