Probably means no Gina Carano :(

For Lutz, i've seen him in Java Heat, and besides his "american beefed up tanned up look", he was a good action star in the movie.

Finally saw RED HILL, director Patrick Hugues's previous film, and found it really excellent, so I sure hope we'll find his touch on EX3 again because the guy sure has talent and can craft a picture that can be all: gripping, violent, simple yet deep and generous, finely shot and musicaly told with even a little touch of eeriness proper to Australian cinema...

I wish he was given a shot at writing an original script of his own and pray he's given a minimum of pull and artistic freedom to surprise everybody with brilliance and renew the EXPENDABLES franchise into greatness.

As with everything Sly says this has to be taken with a pinch of salt. I'll believe it when I see it. Willis for me has been the weakest in both films so far. He's really phoned it in, so I'm not too bothered. Willis seems to put his name to any old shit these days with minimal effort, as long as he's paid enough.

Some reports seem to claim the cast will arrive in Bulgaria next week. I don't really believe this either. Perhaps the crew etc will, but the actual shooting probably won't start for at least another month.

Bruce Willis has been phoning his performances in for the past few years, so his absence really isn't that big of a loss. Every one of his films, he comes in with that smirk, and collects a paycheck. Perhaps Ford will bring a little something new to the team and overall story.

I'll echo what Jox said earlier. Everyone should check out Red Hill, it's really good. It's beautifully shot, really well paced and brilliantly acted. I really hope Hughes is given free reign on Exp 3, he could do something really great with it, and hopefully make full use of the immense cast he'll have. I would also like to see Hughes being given the opportunity to work on the script too.

Source: Bruce Willis Left 'Expendables 3' Over $1 Million-a-Day Fee Demand

Sylvester Stallone let the world know Tuesday that Bruce Willis was out of the upcoming The Expendables 3 for being "greedy and lazy," and it seems that laziness was not the primary issue.

Stallone raised eyebrows in Hollywood by tweeting "WILLIS OUT . . . HARRISON FORD IN!!!! GREAT NEWS!!!!! Been waiting years for this!!!!," then following up with a second tweet reading "GREEDY AND LAZY . . . A SURE FORMULA FOR CAREER FAILURE."

A source with knowledge of the situation says the fallout was over a specific money demand. Willis was offered $3 million for four days of consecutive work on location in Bulgaria for the film. "He said he'd drop out unless he got $4 million," this source close to the production says. "A million dollars a day. Stallone and everybody else involved said no."

Stallone then quickly reached out to Ford, who was game to join the Expendables cast.

The insider adds, "I think [Willis] was pretty surprised he was replaced in 72 hours by Harrison Ford — a better actor, a much nicer person and a more interesting direction for the film."
Willis' reps at CAA declined to comment.
