I saw a report about the the role in TE3 that was turned down by Nicholas Cage(that of a former mercenary asked to help Barney and the boys) has now been offered to Kelsey Grammer of "Cheers", "Frasier" and "Boss" fame. How the F**K do you go from two total opposites like Nick "Ghost Rider" Cage and Kelsey "Sideshow Bob" Grammer?

You're right, Jox. I just watched a couple of episodes of his Starz original series "Boss" and Kelsey plays a totally ruthless politician that will do anything to win. So if he gets the role, he could pull it off... but if I hear Paul "Pee Wee Herman" Reubens is called in for a part, I'm giving up!

Can't say I'm exactly thrilled about this casting, but I do have hope. I remember back in 2005 when Grammar was cast as Hank McCoy / Beast in X-Men 3. I was optimistic at first... And you know what? Grammar knocked it out of the park and owned it as Beast. Great casting. For that reason alone, I'm putting aside my hesitations and hoping for the best.

I'm thinking maybe Nic Cage's character was meant to be a total psycho ala Dolph in part 1...just a thought, I can't imagine them writing a straight-up, centered, level-headed character for him. That said, I'm disappointed he isn't in. EX3 may not be a brilliant movie but anything beats shit like Trespass.

I'm just praying EX3 isn't an over the board shlockfest like 2 was... one too many bad one-liners. I might have thought the first movie was a bit stale... but the comedy was just too over the top for the sequel.

Some of em were alright... but the delivery on a bunch of em was even worse that I remember from the 80's!
