I did. It's about as bad as I had feared. Lundgren spent half of the first episode trying to console a mother whose daughter is lost in the middle of a forest fire. I'm surprised the mother didn't try to console Lundgren over the fact that he's gonna do a whole season of this mess.

The rest of this cast is painful to watch. I'm really not sure who the intended audience is for this show. People who are bed-ridden? That's my best guess.

Hummmm.... it's not like we didn't expect that since it was announced last year, but this sounds even worse than we anticipated. :?

It's just such a relic of a show. TV is not what it was back in the 90's. It's way more evolved and a show like this seems so out of place. The whole thing is baffling to me.

Same reason folks watched baywatch. Bikinis. Ocean vistas and bad acting. Looks like we get that with this but with even lower production values... if that's even possible.

Yup, I had the pleasure of watching this as well... And it's about as bad as I feared. Extremely cheesy on all levels. It's a shame that this is the best show that came Dolph's way. Poorly acted with poor production values as well (not so much counting Dolph; he does okay with what he's given). What's also disappointing is how it doesn't seem to be Dolph's show, but more of an ensemble piece with a bunch of pretty actors (ala Baywatch). While Dolph takes top billing and is the leader of the said group, he's merely the "old guy" who sits back while his teammates focus on the subplots of who's dating who, etc.

I'm wondering if this will get picked up for a second season... Perhaps it's still too early to tell, but if it does, will 2014 consist of Dolph taking on another seasons of this, and God helps us, RACE TO THE SCENE?

They sure lost a big part of their planned financing ($1,5M per episode was too good to be true) hence the location change to South Africa. The season is also shortened to 13 episodes instead of 22. "Supposedly" (because who knows if it wasn't a sell pitch), the show is already ordered for a second season, but that doesn't mean D will take part of it after that debacle... And I mean come on, even "Race to the Scene" had a longer post-production (one and half month, are you kidding me?)!

should we expect to see much more than an episode to have a relevant opinion?

the thing is, IMO, that with a TV show they try to do a good / great first episode to keep the audience going. If the first (or first two) are not great, it's not a good sign.

Okay, well I've seen it...

Not good...not good at all. Dolph comes off looking really bad in this. I mean clearly he's not happy with the production at all. From what was initially promised, to what has been delivered, is a huge difference. The other actors are all completely woeful.

I have to say, and I can say it quite easily, this is the worst thing I've ever seen Dolph in. It's a complete mess. It's poorly put together. I mean all the production aspects are bad, the direction, editing, sound, acting. It's all so rushed, and so lazy. The scripting is abysmal too. I honestly cannot understand how they could have allowed this to go TV when it seems completely unfinished.

We never expected much, and honestly some of us worried it would be another Baywatch, but honestly, in every single aspect, Baywatch is at least 10 times better. The acting here makes Pammy and the Hoff both look like Oscar winners. This will do nothing for Dolph's credibility either. Those watching who haven't seen him for 20 years will just assume he's still an awful actor.

I'd also be very surprised if this one makes it over to Europe and other territories.

It's supposed to be pre-sold worldwide but then again who knows if this isn't bullshit or if they won't back out of their commitment...

I also notice writers Jim & John Thomas (PREDATOR) seem gone from both writing and co-exec producing so left are Bonann and his partner Tai Collins whom he met as a "Baywatch" babe...

One thing is that he also attracted the wrong people with the wrong projects and intentions.

I've been wondering the same thing for the past couple years. A comeback, yes. Expendables was great for that. But the direction that his comeback has been heading leaves me wondering if it was for the best. The quality of some of his recent films rivals the films of his "slump" back in 1998-2002.
