Epic piece of casting. This is shaping up amazingly. Get this right and it could be one of Dolph's best.

Up to this point I wonder what could that mean
We will have several more cast announcements very soon

Other big announcements ? That would be unreal. :)

Who's next, Scott Adkins?

I love the cast so far, heck, I love everything about this project so far!

Jox, do you know if the action will be more fighting oriented? Since both Michael Jai white and Tony Jaa are such great martial artists, not to mention Dolph as well.

I could definitely see Jai White and Jaa facing off. It'd be good to have White as one of the bad guys.

Eric Roberts has done a few films in Thailand. Gary Daniels too. They could pop up perhaps. I wonder if they'll try and get a couple of well known thai actors too. The guy who played the Thai lead in Only God Forgives, was also in Ninja 2, so he could be an option.

OK there's a quite a few hand to hand fights but remember this is not a martial arts flick and I have a feeling that MJW being in the film doesn't mean he will face off with Tony. Hopefully if I'm right they've defied typecasting with those parts and both Perlman and MJW aren't given the obvious...

I don't agree here, now that we have a classy cast of leads, Roberts and Daniels would really make that cheesy.

Yeah I thought about him as well. And maybe we'll see Byron Gibson the guy who gets impaled with hair sticks was in A MAN WILL RISE and lives in Thailand. Though you can't get too many parts for Caucasians except for the part set the U.S. and the bad guys.

Agree on all your points Jox (even as a Daniels fan, it wouldn't be any good for the movie). Would be great if they go against typecasting as you said. :)
Is Ekachai directing the canada set or do they use a second unit director ?

Nice reactions here and there btw.

Derek Mears ‏@DerekMears 9h
@MichaelJaiWhite @Dolph_Lundgren @tonyjaaofficial Holy crap! That sounds AMAZING!!!

Scott Adkins ‏@TheScottAdkins 9h
@MichaelJaiWhite @Dolph_Lundgren @tonyjaaofficial Have fun gents, sounds awesome!!

White must have a strong fanbase, because the news quickly spread when he unleashed it on his tweeter accoutn.

It's a shame really that Eric Roberts has become such a cheeseball. When he wants to be he's a great actor. But yeah, probably right, he wouldn't fit. Or Daniels. I think as a tough Daniels would be largely unnoticed because not many people know who he is, but I guess they could pay a stunt guy less. lol.

As for Byron Gibson. I wouldn't want him near the production. He's a terrible actor. He's not even really an actor. I've seen him in about 3 films and he wasn't very good in any of them. Though I'm largely against him on the basis of those horrible Hammer On teasers.

It would be good to see some good Thai cast members. I also wonder about someone like Byron Mann too. He's not too bad an actor and he might add something to the cast. He could pass as Thai and speaks a little apparently.

Yeah, right... but as a Thai gangster/bad guy would be good. Just saying.

This and Nordic Light should do justice to Dolph's career, after EX series he accepted too many Seagalish quality movies.

The teaser poster tagline ("All scars tell a story") and the scars on his face are not just there as Dolph just had a cast made to mold the scars his face will sport in the movie as you can see the photo on his social media.

It might be IMDB syndrome but the director of photography on this is apparently Ben Nott, who has recently done Chinese Zodiac (Jackie Chan's 3rd in the Armor of God trilogy) and Daybreakers. He also did the TV mini-series Salems Lot about 10 years ago with Rob Lowe, which was pretty decent, and looked very good. He also did Roland Joffes latest film (which seems to have gone by unnoticed unfortunately).
Seems like a decent choice. Someone who's done big scale projects and has something of a name for himself too. He seems to have done some interesting work too. I dug the look of Daybreakers.
