Perlmans double?! Conan Stevens is 7 foot tall! Ron Perlman -realistically - about 6 foot tall.

I hope this will turn out amazingly, this project has so much going for it.

Perlman 6 foot? I'd say that's being generous.

He's claimed to be 6'1 and 6'2 in interviews- probably inflated, but he's a fairly tall man.

But not as tall as Conan, right? Let's leave it. So Jox, how do you think about the budget? Is it still 5 million? Or some bigger?

Imdb is now reporting 7,5 millions. Interesting.

Wait for another damn fine name to be announced for a part... ;) I call best cast for a non-Expendables flick.

I just hope it's not Seagal. Any other name will be fine. (Peter Stormare ? :D )

Nope, nope although Stormare was considered but probably had to pass. He's not much in the spotlights these days but I think you all shall be happy he's in because he's starred in some great cult classics and he's a top notch actor who worked with some of the greatest genre and more artsy directors.

PS Forget about Seagal, he probably would not even consider being in this and that's for the best. This project doesn't need cheese.

ahah, no problem. i like to wait and let my mind wander, and be surprised in the end. ;)

Anyway, my personnal feelings (or at least, what I prefer to think) is that the actors involved, even if money is a big a good reason, must have liked the script, and liked to work with Dolph (with someone as him as a producer, do they through agents for first contact, or does Dolph introduces the project directly to the actors ?).

There was also a good cast for Blood Of Redempstion (Dolph Lundgren, Billy Zane, Robert Davi, Vinnie Jones) and have you seen the result ? The cast doesn't do everything, especially if all the budget goes in the cast. But I don't feel that Skin Trade becomes a BOR 2

No offense, but as much as I like Billy Zane and Vinnie Jones, they're never good omen for a cast. Ron Perlman, and even Michael Jai White are on another range IMHO. The cast is not the only important point, but here, the cast and the director is enough to make the movie quite exciting. (Even without Dolph I would be interested), and so far, it seems like he understood that, and tried not to make it a simple "Dolph vehicle".
