Not sure how this is relevant but Robert Luketic, future director hired for THE EXPENDABELLES and guilty of LEGALY BLONDE, MONSTER IN LAW, KILLERS or PARANOIA, has just started to follow Dolph on Twitter.

Wonder if they might work in some sort of crossover with the Expendables, maybe a few cameos from some of the "lesser" stars like Dolph and Crews.
Or maybe they're eyeing Dolph as a bad guy.

Or...

He might just like Dolph because he's fucking awesome.

Probably the latter.

Comeo from Dolph would be cool. And wonder if they are gonna hire some oldschool/80-90 ladies like S. Rothrack, L.Hamilton etc.

Glen Powell (young Expendable) on EX3:
http://www.nylonguysmag.com/glen-powell ... ndables-3/

He may be the most down to earth of all 4 since the others all have "their thing": Lutz comes from TWILIGHT and is starring in HERCULES, Rousey and Ortiz are world champions in their sports. Powell is an up-and-coming actor, seen in other movies and TV shows, that hasn't had a real fame yet.

Minor shots to help make the movie gel better. I find the idea that this movie has a script supervisor amusing.

Here's hoping it's a more cohesive film than the first two.

Haha the script supervisor is there for continuity in wardrobe, set decoration, sometimes eyeline match and being there as a reference, but she can't say anything about the script writing per say.

Really surprised Lions Gate has not put out another trailer for this yet... Hate to say it, but I don't think they're doing an adequate job at marketing this like they should. There shoulda been a TV spot during the Super Bowl... Makes sense being something that guys watch every year and EX3 is a guy's movie. But no, they decide to put their eggs in the Kevin Costner flick DRAFT DAY. Then there's the new Schwarzenegger flick that arrived today without an EX3 trailer attached to that either... What gives? Is Lions Gate being presumptuous and assuming the film doesn't need promoting?

They're keeping the same schedule as the other two. Trailer is on the way, character posters are on their way too, but there gonna be something they didn't do for the first ones... On the other hand the franchise brand name is there so they don't need to sell it for the first time. I guess they put DRAFT DAY at the Superbowl because it's a football movie and they'll probably have EX3 at ComicCon instead. You know when I asked why there wasn't as much publicity for LOTR : RETURN OF THE KING (was working at the French releasing company) I was told there was not as much need for it as for the first one. Companies also believe less and less in marketing too early because we live in a world of so much info in and out that most people are forgetful so you better promote a film right before it gets out. Anyway THE EXPENDABLES will probably never be treated as a proper blockbuster because it's not. It's a giant B movie made independently and release by non-major studio companies.

That makes sense from a business standpoint and since it's a smaller studio producing I get why they do it. Marketing aside I just had hoped for a bigger more polished feel for the series in the vain of the Dirty Dozen or something similar... but again that's not what Sly had in mind to begin with so I'm not as bothered with the 80's cheese as I would have been. I hope this new trailer gives a completely different vibe/feel from the first 2 films.

I still wish they would have gone for a more serious tone as a love letter to the action star golden era that was the 80's/90's... but it just keeps looking like more and more of pipe dream as the main guys from the era are getting on in age.

Just noticed in the cast list on IMDB, an actress who's character is listed as "Gunnars daughter." Interesting.
