True but what do we outsiders know about Utah? California isn't just beaches so Utah might have some surprises and these first set photos (from Alpine, Utah) don't strike as being out of place. That's were they shot SAINTS AND SOLDIERS, I don't think Ryan Little shot any of his war flicks outside of the US, and the producer feels has to sign off his set report video with "stay classy, America"...

I searched Utah's points of interest and they have the Zion National Park which should indicate how stunning and geographically diverse the whole state is.

This one came around a bit quicker than I thought. Like the look of the pics, seems like it will be a nice change of pace for Dolph and hopefully still have some good battle scenes of some kind (I'm not expecting Fury as we know this is low-budget) and I guess Utah makes a change from some of the other locations frequented in his films and DTV films in general (New Orleans, Vancouver, Bulgaria etc).

Wow. I've seen some disturbing photos of Rourke, but that one is up there. He's only 5 years older than Lundgren.

Looper‘s Noah Segan has locked a role opposite Luke Goss, Mickey Rourke, and Dolph Lundgren in the currently-filming WWII actioner War Pigs. Directed by Ryan Little (Saints & Soldiers), War Pigs tracks a ragtag band of Army misfits tasked with killing Nazis behind enemy lines. Segan plays Sergeant August Chambers, whose band of soldiers fall under the command of a dishonored Captain (Goss) and a French Foreign Legionnaire (Lundgren). Andre Relis’ LA-based WMI Worldwide is producing and rolled War Pigs into its output deal with Cinedigm earlier this year.

Noah Segan is a good addition to the cast.

I thought he did a really good job as Kid Blue in Looper. I'm actually a bit surprised he hasn't been in more stuff since then.

With this movie, Willem Dafoe possibly being in 4 Towers and of course Skin Trade, Dolph is getting better co-stars than he's had in years (not counting the Expendables of course).

Did Rourke shoot for a day?

Just because he isn't on that pic means he only has a day to to shoot, actors are always called on and off sometimes for full days, half days even a couple of hours depending on production schedule (depending on many factors and often changing). Don't know how big is his part but I'm sure even if it's a supporting role he's got more to shoot... The above was shot on a more remote location and seems to be close to some combat scene, which I don't think his character will take much part of (must be the major staying at base camp nor something).

Ryan Kelley added to the cast too, that's good (he was tremendous in "Mean Creek" and has some following due to Teen Wolf I think).
