I wasn't referencing the picture of the 'Pigs' on the jeep. I was actually referencing Mr. "Yeah... Uhm... Cool... Uhm..."'s facebook video where he refers to his day of filming as "Our big Mickey Rourke day".

I always assumed on smaller budget independent films didn't have the luxury of their higher paid stars being able to shoot multiple dates.

Don't know how big is his part but I'm sure even if it's a supporting role he's got more to shoot... The above was shot on a more remote location and seems to be close to some combat scene, which I don't think his character will take much part of (must be the major staying at base camp nor something).

I'm not worried about that. After all we don't watch Mickey Rourke in films for his fight scenes.

Looper‘s Noah Segan has locked a role opposite Luke Goss, Mickey Rourke, and Dolph Lundgren in the currently-filming WWII actioner War Pigs. Directed by Ryan Little (Saints & Soldiers), War Pigs tracks a ragtag band of Army misfits tasked with killing Nazis behind enemy lines. Segan plays Sergeant August Chambers, whose band of soldiers fall under the command of a dishonored Captain (Goss) and a French Foreign Legionnaire (Lundgren). Andre Relis’ LA-based WMI Worldwide is producing and rolled War Pigs into its output deal with Cinedigm earlier this year.

From my understanding producer Steven Luke aka Luke Schuetzle owns a reenactment store selling WWI & WWII military uniforms, gear and props (original and reproduction)

Dolph seems to be having a good time here at least.

Awesome. They have been really aiming for authenticity too.

From FB:

"Dolph Lundgren wrapped yesterday after a full day of shooting. He did a stupendous job and we really enjoyed having him on set! Thank you Dolph!"

Seems like Dolph filmed for 6 days on this one.

About 9 days, but from he said I thought he had another 5 or 7 to go... I think the principal is supposed to wrap around the 15th so it's like halfway through the 18-21 days shoot.

I hope he had a good time on set. Must've been refreshing after the amount of responsibility on Skin Trade.

That is part of the reason he's taking acting roles where he can take it a little more easy and regenerate before taking on his next producing/directing endeavor.

What about Mickey Rourke? How many filming days does he have?

I'm guessing that Rourke was on set for one day. One day... maybe two.

We can't judge from these selected photos alone. Supporting roles come and go, plus who cares. I'm tired of action fans main focus being what's the budget and how many days the actors work. This is a low budget film to be shot in barely more than 3 weeks. What what would be more interesting is to know if Ryan Little didn't get to take his time to his previous films (sometimes it's easier for low low self-funded films and having name actors can actually be a drag schedules-wise)...

Coming from an indie background he's probably adept at lightening quick shoots. Some directors prefer it too, so hopefully that's the case here. Some of the Serafini films for example felt a bit half-baked, particularly BOR.

Plus having done three Saints and Soldiers films, Little probably knows inside and out just what he can do and how long with the more complex scenes.
