Found that, an interview from 1996. Maybe it has been linked here before. Really interesting.

Rare footage and interview from the German premiere of UNIVERSAL SOLDIER at the Köln festival (fall 1992), with Roland Emmerich and Ralph Moeller (thanks to Darling):

(featurette coming)

Here is the 'Dolph Lundgren Special' portrait, with director Frédéric Forestier (THE PEACEKEEPER), journalist Christophe Lemaire (fan and journalist of the Christophe Gans / Starfix generation), and publicist François Frey ("Cover-Up", "Joshua Tree", "Men Of War", "The Shooter", "The Expendables"). Aired in between "Masters of the Universe" and "Showdown in Little Tokyo".

It's great seeing all of these interviews from DL's post-UNISOL years. They're new to me. It seems that in the US, despite working regularly and continuing to build his filmography, interviews here in the US were non-existent. Didn't seem like until 2008 when he was doing the MISSIONARY MAN and COMMAND PERFORMANCE circuit, did he start to pop up on the various talk shows, etc. That's why I've never really seen his comeback with THE EXPENDABLES in 2010 as being his true comeback... He was already making the rounds a year prior... at least in my opinion.

That's due to the fact his films were DTV in the U.S., but he did quite a bit of publicity in the states for JOHNNY MNEMONIC and his pentahlon involvement for the 1996 Olympics though. (I think the French publicist (whom he was tight with) and distributor also pushed and helped to get him over here -but that didn't help the films at all, which were all absolute flops since COVER-UP...)

Then the cult started coming back with the releases of THE DEFENDER and THE MECHANIK with interviews in specialty sites like Joblo etc (and his wanting to push the films more than the others).

Jox, would you have access to any of those other interviews and publicity rounds he did in the 95-96 era for JOHNNY MNEMONIC? I read that he had an appearance on Conan from that period... That'd be great to see...
