It's neither good or bad, they don't need it per say and could finish the film without it, but they could use more (most movies -however big or small- could use more money for the post which is often rushed and when not enough money is left or allowed to do things properly).

It never ceases to amaze me the lack of creativity within' marketing departments. I get digital posters aren't what old school wall posters used to be in terms of being an integral part of pushing a movie these days.... but "Nothing's ever easy?" Really?? An junior high kid could have come up with that tag-line!

It's a period piece set in WWII for gods sakes not a 80's B style action flick. Ugh.

That tagline fits the kind of gallows humour and general lowbrow nature of the characters in these kinds of Dirty Dozen style movies.

I find it more lazy/generic than I do humorous. I mean you could insert that into just about any movie that was ever created it's that inane.

While still about $2,000 short a few days ago, the Kickstarter ended with $9,904 pledged of $6,000 goal (71 backers).

MOVIE UPDATE: The final edit was finished a few weeks ago. Now in the next few stages of post!

Meaning scoring, sound designing, mixing, finalizing VFX, color grading, and any polishes and adjustments that need to be done...

The Cinando database lists an August 3 release date, not sure what that means...

What's wrong with that? This level of movie would never get this kind of presence online five years ago.

It's probably me but I personally find it pointless, not to say stupid, it's like "wind", and taking people for dummies, it's like their photoshopped b&w war photos with STAR WARS things in it (that they've done at least 5 times), nothing to do with the movie or even relevant with the maketing of it... And I think social medias in general are levelling from/by the bottom.

Sorry if this makes me sound like a snubb but I've been trained and educated for the opposite. I'm all about of content and depth of content, but everything tends to lean towards the opposite and dumbing out the masses...

I'm not a fan either. Social media can help in things going viral but I'm not sure it'll ever work on something like this. It helped Van Damme immensely with the Volvo ad, but that's had no effect on his film career. More a case of "Oh it's that guy."

If it were done right with a bit more savvy, then these updates could provide a good boost for War Pigs. But honestly, everything they've done has felt like students making a fan film. It stinks of amateurishness and feels a little dumb. It'lll put off as many potential customers as it attracts really.

Still one thing that bugs me more than anything else in the current social media movie marketing scene is teasers for teaser trailers. Showing 10-20 seconds of a trailer they're going to release the next day. Utterly pointless.
