I know that Dolph doesn't want to get involved or make suggestions when it comes to the cast of the EXPENDABLES movies, and he wouldn't have much weight in those cases (compared to Statham for instance) so he lets Sly and the producers do their thing.

What some people seem to forget to take into account in this:

Asked By Sen. Amy Klobuchar asked Crews if he has a role in the sequel.

“No. Simply because this same producer is under his own … investigation,” said Crews. “Abusers protect abusers — and this is one thing I had to decide, whether I was going to draw the line on. Am I going to be a part of this or am I gonna take a stand, and there are projects I had to turn down.”

Lerner was sued for sexual harassment, hostile work environment and gender discrimination by a woman identified only as Jane Roe. At the time the suit was filed, Lerner dismissed the allegations as “all lies” and “a joke.”

While fans mostly care about the news and outcome of EXPENDABLES 4, I find some of their clueless and PTSD psychology ill-informed reactions (that I've just read elsewhere) to be as horrendous and toxic as those traumatic, "real life" stories of sexual abuses and rapes: there is no shame or suspicion in coming out 10, 20, 30 years about being victims of such violences, those saying otherwise are just perpetuating the same toxic masculinity bullshit. Not mentioning the feeling of not feeling safe, being believed and not laughed at or being shamed with not nothing being done, and regarding boys and men the taboo still seems huge even in post-Weinstein times...

If EX4 does eventually gets made, I would be happy to see CREED / BLACK PANTHER composer Ludwig Göransson replace Brian Tyler. Listen to the EXPENDABLES and CREED scores, the difference is incomparable.

To me, Tyler is one of those technically skilled composers who can't bring much emotion or a really personal touch to their music: the themes are decent but "meh", and the heavy action scoring is just heavyweight brass and drums in a non-stop noisy orchestration.

The EXP movie scores are not so enjoyable to listen to, whereas the CREED score is nice to the ears, emotive and empowering...

According to this article, Dolph and Sly would scout locations in south-tunisia at the end of march. I highly doubt it (as I don't see Millenium Films shooting outside of europe) and it might just be a diplomatic or friendly visit (IMO). I don't know what it means for Malevolence (but I guess he can have a two day break from shooting if the film is actually shooting some time soon).

Yeah, as of last week, Dolph said he didn't know anything about EX4. If they are indeed going to Tunisia for a couple of days late March, what it sounds is that the Tunisian Minister of Tourism invited them for an homage, no more than that other they may be courting Sly to come and film there but that in way means anything.

(Note: Nu Image / Millennium did co-produce THE INQUIRY which had been mainly filmed in Tunisia, but I don't know if they were hands-on with that part, other than the intro shot in Bulgaria...)
