Forum userbars

Hey peoples.
I decided to create a few Dolph userbars for this forum, since I've recently started making them and I seem to be in something of a userbar-making frenzy! I thought they might make a nice addition to the forum. They're fairly basic in appearance, but I'll probably improve them later, and maybe add new ones as well. Feel free to use these bars as your signature - they're for us all!

It's nice but I personaly think it's too distracting and has no purpose so my take on it is to restrict its use because I hate forums where goodies like that take more space than the actual comments....

Yeah, I don't want to spoil your mood, craigie. It's nice that you put so much effort into artwork. But personally I'm no fan of graphical signatures.

From the Board Policy: "Avatars are not available since this contributes to slow download times."

Of course we can discuss this. ;-) I personally think avatars aren't as bad as big signature graphics. But basically I'm a text person anyway.

I hate to be a party-pooper as well, but if everyone started using them, we may end up having a bandwidth problem. I have seen this on several sites after they get many people with avatars or various other graphics.

No one called you a party pooper. I called myself a party-pooper, not you. And this is nothing to do about us being old and you being young (don't call me old!). This is about wasting bandwidth on the server. The graphic may not seem like it requires much space, but once everyone starts using one, then problems will arise. We would rather keep the bandwidth free for things like posting of posters, new articles and magazine pictures of Dolph. We are not trying to be disrespectful, your graphic is nice, but we do have our rules for a reason!
