That's quite a jump. Must be a specific reason for pushing back (maybe technical issues) as Dazzler release over a dozen titles a month here, sometimes more.

I have a feeling this July date on Amazon is not set but just means the actual release date is yet "to be announced". It might also be depending on when Redbox and Lionsgate get it out in the States...

German trailer

(click on the gallery and then the tab "VIDEOS")

I realize this will come out almost 2 years after it was shot, and THE BEST MAN will be released prior even though it was filmed almost a year later.

Like OPERATION SEAWOLF, I'm pretty sure it was framed for 2.39:1 scope aspect ratio and yet finished in 1.78 (which makes the small budget appear so much more as well as a lot of empty space within the frames)...

Was never that keen on these, thought War Pigs and Operation Seawolf were pretty boring. I'm not a big war movie fan but to me there's little to recommend here, what with all the CGI etc. I think what makes it look cheap is the filming in the woods and the grey skies, it looks like a field in England. There's no contrast or scale there - even with the best grade in the world I always think films shot in these type of woods (unless it is a pine forest) look really cheap. Won't rush to see this one.

Meh. I Guess it pays the bills and he enjoys the history linked to these movies, but i'll wait for WM and Hellfire (and Showdown).

You have said it all.

Even though it wasn't great, I remember nice things from WAR PIGS, what it lacked in production value it compensated in realistic atmosphere and decent character moments, I'll have to watch it again to make a second opinion though.
