Lundgren in moscow again!

Postby TombRaider on 07 Apr 2006, 17:46

Two articles:

Image

This one says Dolph was in russian night club, in the pic he is with russian mtv host and as you can she's really happy to see him  and Dolph enjoys that. The article says something weird (i don't believe it): Lundgren was in moscow last year to shoot the movie "Skrim" and now he is to shoot additional scenes...

This one makes more sense. Dolph visited moscow museum of russian police force. In two months he will begin filming of an super action film in moscow, it will feature some big bandits and gangsters showdowns in moscow and dolph plays an interpol agent come to help.

The second article is from yesterday so maybe there will be more news.

Dolph does Russia
The first picture is of a soft core porn film that he is shooting. Dolph plays a member of a special police unit assigned to bring down a ring of grape smugglers.

For the admins:The above statement is not factual. It is a joke, based on wordplay and innuendo that derrives from the picture. There is no such film in the works.

But he does talk about the planning of a movie about oil.
That he sat down with executives of the Russian Petroleum Industry and talked about putting together such a project.
Normally these movies are created from a leftist point of view, meaning that thet normally are not funded by oil companies but by environmentalists.
I wonder what would come out of such a project. Might not turn out very politically correct if the petroleum industry have their say in it.
However it is only at the beginning stages of becoming a film and most ideas don´t get further than that.

No need to say... do you think we're that stupid?!

That would be the opposite: it would be very politically correct if they have their in it...

How do you figure?
The petroleum industry is under a lot of pressure, what with the current focus on co2 emissions, and the global warming that they help create.
I doubt that the oil company executives would like to sponsor a film about oil unless it was somehow beneficial for them. For instance, it would be in their interest to make a movie that focuses on all the good things that the consumption of (russian) oil has led to and not tell a story of all the bad things.
And any claim that oil consumption is a great thing is, in our day and age, a politically incorrect opinion.

Maybe it´s a language thing... I want to clarify that a POLITICALLY correct opinion is not the same thing as a CORRECT opinion. Politically correct simply means that it is the popular opininon of the masses right now. It doesn´t mean that it´s the right one.

It's a language thing. To me politically correct doesn't necessarily go with the masses...

For example films like "Who Killed the Electric Car?" or "This Film Is Not Yet Rated" are what I'd call politically incorrect movies... I admit I'm not sure about the definition but to me "politically correct" would usually go in the way of the government or the ones with power, and wouldn't be criticizing, questioning or controversial...

But Jox, your definition assumes that the government is correct!

No, "politically correct"...

Anyway I'm giving up because this is getting too confusing, I might be totally off track, so let's forget it because the last thing I wanna do is talking politics!
