Looks superb. I'm loving that cover, and the promo stills. I wonder what the UK and US covers will look like, cause they won't necassarily be the same. If they can top that German cover though, I'd be mighty impressed.

So the US cover gets revealed here as a first exclusive from Sony!
No, it doesn't top the German one, but it's the same! so... "No sin shall go unpunished!"

Looking good. I was worried Sony would screw up the cover in North America but I'm pleased with it. Way better than the Seagal photoshop-jobs.

To be honest, I think that's because Seagal doesn't stick around long enough so they have to use photos from 1995 and the likes and stick it on a photo double who IS actually around for photography. This is Dolph's movie - he wrote it, he directed it, he acted in it - he is very passionate about it, so no wonder he wanted to make sure everything was done right.

That's true, though Sony did change the international (and impressive) black and white art from THE MECHANIK when they released THE RUSSIAN SPECIALIST. I was thinking there was an outside chance of that happening here as well.

I think it was still Sony's call, but still I believe it's Dolph who made the deal with them for worldwide distribution (it seems Andrew Stevens was hired later to co-produce). And Sony told me they also had been anticipating the movie and seemed to believe in the film as much as we do. As for Seagal, he barely stick around on set (which according to some might keep him from directing again, unlike Dolph), not talking about shooting publicity stills...

Ahhh so this was Sony's little baby, much like Van Damme's Shepherd - although I'm sure Dolph done some friendly persuading, don't you think?
