except for the US, they really try to sell it as a fighting movie (when it only takes place a few mins into the film) instead of an adventure one... if it was really a bad ass fighting movie, we would have a hit on our hands! :?

Ironically the tagline sounds like:
"There are missions that would better be refused."

I just saw Diamond Dogs. This is not a great movie but far better than Dolph's other films in recent years such as Missionary Man.

I thought the film had an interesting look and feel and I liked the documentary style. I also liked Dolph as an Indiana Jones-type character.

I thought the ending was unrealistic and disappointing. However, they left it open for a sequel and I wouldn't mind seeing one.

One question I have though is why is the film titled Diamond Dogs? There are no diamonds in the film.

That wasn't really clear. I think Diamond Dogs is a dumb name for this movie. Something else would have fit it better. Also, the guitar music seemed out of place in this movie.

Still, I thought it was at least decent, even though the end was a major disappointment.

I am surprised most of you guys dislike this movie but seem to love Missionary Man which I thought was terrible.

I think the US cover is pretty cool although it doesn't really look like him.

I do much prefer the foreign covers with the shirtless photo.

Not very good I don't think, the bullets look faker in this one, they were okay in the US release and the new fight factory border they have on all the upcoming releases like The Shepherd looks messy..oh well, I'm happy with my slip case holographic US version :D

It's not that bad actually but look at the higher quality resolution hand thats coming out of the flames, clearly isn't Dolph's hand because it isn't even attached to the gun, which isn't attached to Dolph, the closer you look the more laughable the cover is. I loved the US cover too. By the way I hate the new Fight Factory border because it gives the impression that all these Van Damme and Lundgren films are the same shitty DTV crap when really there are very different films and mostly very good. I hope they quit with that border now. This cover has been made up of scraps of material and not one element on it was taken in the same picture, the hand, Dolph, the gun, the bullets..are all separate elements. Perhaps I'm reading too much into it, but its just my opinion.

Somewhat off-topic here, but what is it with all the recent Dolph movies (DD, MM, Defender, etc) ALL being released without having their trailers included on the disc? A film's trailer should be one of the disc's staple ingredients - in fact, with all the many weird and wonderful types of bonus material available for DVDs now, a trailer doesn't even really count as a special feature anymore.
I don't think it's asking for too much to have a 90 - 120 second trailer included with the movie, is it?

Well that's the unexplained policy/way of Sony, they never put the trailer of the film itself anymore, just other previews.
