At least for once the reviews (for the most part) are totally supporting the film!
(sometimes more than certains "fans", who don't even seem to get it and far from it when you read some comments on forums and FB, even after you explain them the point and take of the film - oh well...)

I 'got' the film; an action film with directorial elements of of Lynch and Cronenberg, and an 'indie' approach to storytelling... however I simply feel the script simply wasn't strong enough to support the 'show, don't tell' suggestiveness of the style. It's a VERY good film that aims high and fairly arthouse, but if you want the film to have loftier aspirations, then ALL the elements need to be lofty. The script's too thin. It's still the best 'DTV' film (which it unfortunately is, seeing as the US market overbears the rest of the world  ) I've ever seen, definitely miles ahead of the already 'stronger than it's release fate' previous brother.

No, but I have seen it more than once. The script is as similarly thin as the last film (it's one real fault), but the filmmaking is far superior this time around. I'm not down on the film, but I really don't think it's the second coming like everyone else seems to. It's still a very good film, but It's not perfect.

The script is probably exactly what it's supposed to be (neither one of us has read it). Cluttering it up to make it less "thin" might have created distractions that the story doesn't need.

Day of reckoning is an amazing movie, but nothing is perfect. "The Terminator", for example, is incredible but it's also a heavily flawed B-movie.

If it works, it works and in my opinion; it does.

Great Adkins interview, Jox. He never disappoints. Always honest.

Grossed $3,181 on first week-end (3 screens)

Not great but as someone mentioned though:
Their last one V/H/S which was considered a bomb did only 600 USD(almost 3 times less than US4) per screen during the opening and is on 100k now rolled out slowly to 16 locations, so I am holding my breath to call it a bomb till nex month.

10,997 admissions ($30-50,000?) first week-end in Turkey (rank 9th on top 15) for 90 screens

I like it but the tone and tagline ("some/certain wars are eternal") fit REGENERATION much better, they're one movie late!
