Dolph Lundgren was at the wrap party Sunday night @ The Belmont on Lacienega. Most stars dont come to their wrap parties, it's usually just production who turns out; and thats why I thought it was so cool that he and his Girlfriend showed up. His GF is really nice and a skilled martial artist, as I saw at fight rehearsal. This is the second film ive worked on with Dolph on and I just wanted to say that he is always a really nice guy to me and the rest of the cast/crew.

Im posting this, not to drop names, but b/c since I started working on films with him, ive heard some rumblings that he was not nice. They are not true. He is professional, yes, and concerned with the image he puts out in his films--but always a gentleman. He even put one of his big co-stars in cheque on a fight day, when he didnt like the choreography. Thanks for being cool, Dolph! You rawk like Iggy Pop.....

INTERVIEW WITH STUNT COORDINATOR JIMMY LUI
EOIN: What’s the toughest fight scene you’ve had to work on so far?

JIMMY: I choreographed a fight for the movie Blood of Redemption that featured three agile knife fighters against Dolph Lundgren and Vinnie Jones. The idea for the fight was to have the three knife fighters attack strategically and in sync with each other against Dolph and Vinnie; but to also have Dolph and Vinnie work as a team against the knife fighters. It was a tough fight to choreograph because of all the moving parts and to make the fighting look natural and the strategy understandable. I hope the final product is clear and representative of all the hard work that Dolph, Vinnie and the stunt guys put into it.

Indeed BOR is now announced to be out in the UK on September 30th (courtesy of Anchor Bay)!

Is Vinnie Jones that big to always the third fiddles, Billy Zane and Randy Couture?

In UK I think he's huge (his football past and his acting carreer now).

I think even in the States Vinnie's DTV films do quite well. He pops up in big films every now and again too. I'm not sure whether movie-goers have any affinity for Randy yet, whilst Billy has kind of been forgotten somewhat. I guess as well, that Vinnie kind of acts as a caricature to what Americans assume most Brits are. They're either hard cockneys or very posh and aristocratic. Ha ha.
So yeah, I'd expect Vinnie to be on most of the U.S covers too.

Brilliant cover, one of the best DTV covers of the year - nice and simple, no dodgy photoshop. And yes, Vinnie is pretty big in the UK in comparison with Randy and Zane, although I'm surprised they did not include all the names on the cover. Anyway, Vinnie was in Snatch and Lock/Stock - two really well selling and cult British movies, he is also in Escape Plan this year unless I am mistaken and in general does loads of adverts and commercials and stuff.

...Or the tank that was badly photoshopped on for reasons unknown that never makes an appearance, let alone mentioned in the film...

HIDDEN AGENDA was too sophisticated for Lionsgate as a Dolph Lundgren flick to release it as a proper thriller (which isn't devoid of action btw)!
