I read an intervew with Dotan who said he was quite hectic with his documentary, as it was selected for Sundance shortly after DD's shoot. He didn't mentioning handing over directing duties, but maybe he left the shoot early to do promo for his docu. That's the second time Dolph's mentioned directing DD. Maybe he took over, or perhaps he instructed Dotan or work in co-ordination with him. Either way Dolph's clearly put his own stamp on DD so the result should be good. I wonder if Leo St Pierre would know the deal on that?
The Eurosport interview was pretty damn good.

Sounds like Borat interviewing himself.
But, apart from discussing the Taktarov-Lundgren celebrity boxing match as if it was anything but a slow sparring match, there was talk of a dramtic picture that was to set the records straight on american stereotypes of Russians.
WTF?
I hope that Dolph is just catering to his russian following and telling them some white lies about his desire to go forth with these projects (this one and the "russian oil industry movie" that was discussed in another thread) and that they never get of the ground, because they both sound like horrible ideas.

You did a film with Mr Van Damme, he played the hero, you played the villain, did you toss him for that?

I didn't mean to say that Dolph isn't handsome anymore. I still think he's the sexiest man alive. But back then he was so good looking that my jaw dropped when I watched the video. Let's face it: At almost 50 you can't be as good looking as at 32.
